It All Started With Cristian

Before Kokopaws became a brand, it was simply our life with Cristian. We have traveled together for years, taking him with us by car, train and plane, through busy cities, quiet cafés and long days away from home.But Cristian refused every carrier we tried. The options we found were bulky, rough, uncomfortable and poorly shaped for a small dog. He did not want to sit in them — and we did not want to force him.

So We Made One for Ourselves

We designed and handmade the first sling only for Cristian. We adjusted its depth, length and shape until he could sit naturally, feel supported and stay close to us without bouncing or shifting while we walked.

We never planned to sell it. But when people saw Cristian in our videos, they kept asking the same question: “Where did you get his carrier?” That was the moment our personal solution became something we wanted to share with other dog parents.

    Our slings are shaped to give small dogs enough space to sit comfortably instead of being held upright in a narrow vertical position.

  • Stable While You Walk

    The depth, strap length and fabric structure are designed to reduce bouncing, shifting and uncomfortable movement.

  • Individually Selected

    We consider the wearer’s size, the dog’s weight and back length to select the most comfortable sling size.

  • Custom Sizing Available

    When a standard option is not the right fit, we can create a custom-sized sling at no additional cost.

Tested Through Years of Real Travel

Every Kokopaws design is tested in the same situations our customers use it for: walking through the city, traveling by car, waiting at the airport, riding a train, sitting in a café and spending long days away from home.

We wear every new model ourselves, observe how Cristian sits, moves and rests, and continue refining the details before the product becomes available to customers.
